Fleetwood Town have been given another home tie in the Carabao Cup. The League Two club, who knocked out Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties on Tuesday, will play either Everton or Newcastle United in the quarter-finals.

They will not know which until tonight. Everton and Newcastle meet in the last match of the fourth round on Thursday 29 October, and the winners go to Fleetwood.

The draw was made on Wednesday night after the rest of the round had been played.

The four ties

  • Fleetwood Town v Everton or Newcastle United
  • Manchester City v Bradford City
  • Crystal Palace v Sunderland
  • Liverpool v Bournemouth

The quarter-finals are scheduled for the week beginning Monday 14 December. Exact dates and kick-off times have not yet been confirmed.

How they got there

Two of Wednesday's ties went to penalties. Liverpool drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Anfield and then won the shootout 6-5. Manchester City, who hold the trophy, drew 2-2 with Brighton and went through on penalties.

Sunderland beat Brentford at the Stadium of Light, Bournemouth beat Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace beat Fulham.

Bradford City, from League One, are the only side in the last eight apart from Fleetwood who are not in the Premier League. Their reward is a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face City.

Liverpool against Bournemouth brings Liverpool's head coach, Andoni Iraola, up against the club he used to manage.
