Straight news for busy households

About us

Daily Distribute is written for the people who keep a household going. The weekly shop, the energy bill, the council tax letter, the school run, the Saturday match and the box set on a Sunday night: that is our patch.

We publish fresh stories every day across eight sections, from News and Money to Homes and Health. Most of them answer a simple question a reader might ask at the kitchen table. What has changed, does it affect me, and what can I do about it?

What you will find here

  • News: the changes landing on doormats and phones across the country, explained without the jargon.
  • Tech and Business: the gadgets, apps, shops and services households use, and how they work.
  • Money and Homes: prices, bills, renting, owning and running a home.
  • Politics: how decisions made in Westminster and town halls turn into something you pay or receive. We explain the system; we do not take sides.
  • Life and Health: family life, sport and TV explained, and health information drawn from the NHS and other official sources.

How we put stories together

Every story is checked against official sources such as government departments, regulators and the NHS, or against more than one reputable news organisation. We list those sources at the bottom of each article so you can read them for yourself. Our editorial standards set out the rules we work to.
