Submit your story
Some of the most useful stories we run start with an email from a reader or a local organisation. If you know about something that affects households, whether it is a new service, a change in prices or a project in your area, tell us about it.
How to send it
Email info@dailydistribute.com with "Story" in the subject line, and include:
- Two or three sentences saying what the story is and who it affects.
- The full details, either in the body of the email or as an attached press release or Word document.
- Any photographs you own and are happy for us to use, with the name of the person who took them.
- A name and phone number so we can check facts before we publish.
The stories we like best
We look for news that is new, specific and useful to people running a home in the UK. A shop or service launching in your town, a change to how something is priced, a local scheme that helps families save, or research with a clear finding all fit well. We do not publish allegations about named people or companies.
After you press send
Every submission is read by an editor. If we decide to run it, we will check the facts and may rewrite or shorten it so it fits our style. We are not able to reply to every email, but we will contact you if we need more information.
Sponsored articles
Businesses that want a story published on a fixed date can book a sponsored article. For our current rates, email info@dailydistribute.com with the subject line "Sponsored rates enquiry". Sponsored articles are marked as paid-for content at the top of the page and are checked against our editorial standards before they go live.
