Everton came from a goal down to beat Coventry City 3-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Friday night after Thierno Barry scored twice early in the second half.

Coventry went ahead in the 52nd minute when Yann Gboho finished from close range after a one-two with Sakamoto. Barry headed the equaliser in the 56th minute and turned in a cross from Tyrique George in the 61st for his 10th goal of the season. He then played in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who made it 3-1 in the 81st minute.

The win, Everton's third in a row, lifts them to fifth in the table ahead of the rest of this weekend's games.

According to the club, the match was David Moyes's 592nd in charge of Everton, equalling the record set by Harry Catterick.

Moyes made one change from the team that beat Newcastle 1-0 four days earlier, bringing in Tyler Dibling on the right wing and moving Merlin Röhl to right-back in place of Jake O'Brien.

The Premier League breaks for internationals after this weekend's round of matches.
