Manchester United were 2-0 down to Roma after 17 minutes at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and won 3-2 in the Champions League.

Matias Soule put the Italian side ahead in the 11th minute and Donyell Malen scored from the penalty spot six minutes later.

The turning point came just before the hour. Bruno Fernandes's first penalty was saved by Devis Vasquez, but the kick was ordered to be retaken because Bryan Cristante had come into the area too early. Fernandes scored with his second attempt in the 58th minute.

United kept pressing and Matheus Cunha struck twice in the 83rd and 86th minutes to complete the turnaround. He then picked up a second yellow card in stoppage time, so the home side played out the last few minutes with 10 men.

It was United's first win in 10 matches and only their third of the season in all competitions.
