Apple says it cannot yet make enough foldable iPhone Duos to meet demand
The company could not say when supply would catch up, and expects Macs and iPads to be in short supply too over the Christmas quarter.

Apple is not making enough of its foldable iPhone Duo to keep up with demand, the company said as it reported its latest results.
Apple said it was very hard to predict when supply and demand would come into balance. Macs and iPads are also expected to be in short supply in the October to December quarter.
Chief executive John Ternus described the rise in memory prices as unprecedented.
The quarter in numbers
Apple's sales in the three months to 26 September were $114.5bn, up from $102.5bn a year earlier. That was a record for the September quarter.
iPhone sales brought in $57.6bn, against $49.0bn a year before, which Apple also called a September-quarter record. Mac sales rose to $10.8bn from $8.7bn, and services reached an all-time high of $31.6bn.
Two areas went the other way. iPad sales slipped to $6.2bn from $7.0bn, and wearables, home and accessories, which include the Apple Watch and AirPods, fell to $8.3bn from $9.0bn.
Over the full financial year Apple's revenue came to a record $479bn.
